So what number will the DRGW Heritage Unit be?

Now that we officially know there will be SP and D&RGW heritage units, what roadnumber do you think the D&RGW one will be. Presuming the trend of the MP and WP units continues, the MKT unit will be 1988, the C&NW 1995 and the SP 1996. D&RGW got SP in 1988 and took the SP name the same year. 1988 should already be going to the MKT unit. So what roadnumber do you think the D&RGW unit will be?

Maybe the year of DRGW’s last locomotive purchase, 1990.

So if the present design trend continues…I will have to go look at some Wheeling & Lake Erie units IF I want to see D&RGW [:o)]

Well, UP renumbered a GP60 to a 20xx number instead of #1987, so this is likely what the DRGW unit will be (1988 will be taken by the MKT unit)

I would think 1996 or 1997 since thats when the UP inveloped them.
