So what would you ask about the new TMCC if you were @ the LCCA Seminar?

The title says it all folks.

Is the system upgradable software wise?

How will it handle switches, accessories and such?

Will trains be able to set in lash ups without issue?

Marty : wonder if I missed something. Is it out already or are we getting real close to seeing it? Thanks, I haven’t been keeping up with any info on it lately . I do have the old TMCC & 2 powermasters.

Thanks, John

It is the catalog that is just hitting the stores this week and being formally introduced at the LCCA Convention in Denver tomorrow at a Lionel seminar. There is info on the Coil Coupler site @ http://www.coilcouplers.com/hirail/hirail00.shtml . So since it was a demo/ intro to the system I thought some questions would be fun to post.

Thanks Marty for posting that !! I can’t wait to find out more !! I may be able to get it at the next income tax return time !! Looks like a lot of info at that site, & I did read a little & plan to go back & read the rest of it !

Thanks, John

The remote looks really nice! Over 200 speed control variations.

a) The receiver socket burried in the base of the FastTrack remote control switches.

b) The unidentified extra terminal on the TPC’s.

How do these fit in with the new system?

The No. 1 question has to be is TMCC II 50Hz compatiable? So us folks with 50Hz mains

power can use it.

Folks, we’ve put this together for yer enjoyment and information. We hope it helps! D Railer answers most of yer questions but I had to put in my 2 cents worth every once in a while…Yer Dang Tootin!..Clyde

The cute screen display on the new TMCC II only displays names, at present, of two of Lionel’s engines. So scrolling is going to be very fast on the TMCC II. The rest of the engines are out of luck. No display names for those, just numbers. Let hope my pre-Alzheimer’s condition improves.

The display screen will show any name of any engine, train or accessory ever made by LIONEL or any other train company that allows control of their products with TMCC.

Engines can be named by pressing the name button and following the easy method provided. New engines come with a memory module to accomplish this automatically.

Any engine can be addressed using its road number, which is easily recognized on the side of the cab near the engineer.

Units can also be addressed by using a standard TMCC address.

Let’s all hope your pre-Alzheimer’s condition improves. It is not as funny as you may imagine.

Having my handheld “rumble” is just plain stupid.

The “FEEDBACK” feature is fun for kids and young at heart adults. It is a novelty feature that can be easily turned on or off at any time directly with its own dedicated easy to read button. Novelty features are an important part of the hobby… Trains are not just for serious adults.

DCS has several novelty features that we would never use at CCA’s layout, if we co
