Some basic Info.

Well, here’s the thing, I have been train watching for almost 14 years now. I started when I was eight, so I have a feeling I’m pretty devoted. I’d bet that I’ve seen every train that exists, so I have no challenge anymore. I travel around the world watching trains, but now that I’ve seen each one, there’s really no challenge for me. I’m losing interest. I’m looking for some trains, trains that I have not seen, in other words, you could say I’m looking for rare trains. So, send me some pictures, please? Thank you.

If you’ve seen all the trains in the world. Why don’t you take one or two of your favorite ones and start a scale models. Like me I really like the acela Express so I have started to model it in HO scale.

Start looking for mongrels, mice and critters at work, that would consume another lifetime.

(Favorite: San Luis Southern’s D-500, now an endangered species because the railroad is all but gone and the land was sold out from underneath without abandonment. Home built / chain drive/ gas engine/funky carbody switch engine)

Don’t think you’re looking very hard if youve seen 'em all. Been to Mookie’s back yard and watched BNSF switch the Havelock shops with that oddball BN GP9-B?

-dirty bird

have you seen the dock switchers of the B&O and PRR? skinny little locomotives?
Csx mainline in Defiance its a csx train but run through, leased, and csx power too.

So, if you have seen them all, what did you think of the PTRA’s MK1500Ds?
Ed

Do you have any pics of those Ed? Thanks.

Havelock? There’s a Havelock up this way (central ON), too – once a big yard on the CP north main line, now a rather interesting little railroad town, still a big yard – moves an amazing tonnage of minerals.

The Lincoln Havelock is very old and very small and has just been absorbed into Lincoln proper. But at the heart is a pretty good sized shop for railroad repairs and a nice small community with a main street. AND saw an SW10 and SW15 headed that way this weekend - switching light industry around there.

So what does four stars get you? I know, a new rank: General Field Marshal Da Mook. I salute you, madam. [but Ed still outranks you!]

I liked it better when I was green! I could spot Ed at a glance and I looked much better in green! But it isn’t easy being green!

And the fact that I am female means I outrank Ed. He would stand up for me when I came in a room; I would remain seated when he entered.

Don’t you just love manners! [;)]

Da Mook

we’d hold the door for you too!

But you’ve got influence around here, toots! Use it! Call down the great powers out there in the cyber ether. HELLO, YOU FELLOWS WITH THE TRAINS LOGO FOR A CALLING CARD! Madam Da Mook would like to have four green stars instead of gold. You’re likely going to have to ask, Mook. You know, the manners thing.

Outranked by a chocoholic kitty cat!
Well,if I gotta be outranked, I couldnt have picked a better canidate!
Madame, your fans await you!
Ed
(wouldnt happen to have any Grey Poupon?)

OK - Trains - are you listening - got your ears on?

I want 4 greens and a tiara - this should be interesting to see what they come up with.
They will probably revoke my password! I will be like Missouri - barred and banned!
Have to sneak back in as a mongrel dog! You guys better back me up, since you are the ones that are getting me into more mischief than usual!

Mookie

I can hear the fanfare of trumpets now with the email messages"mookie has responded"

Ya gotta love it!

Uh, oh. [:0] The natives are getting restless.

Erik…?

Do you guys ever watch the show Mail Call on the History Channel? I’m trying to think of how the host, R. Lee Ermey, would respond to such a question… stopping well short of calling anyone a maggot, of course. [:D] Do you think the military would let a commander choose the colors of his/her stars? Sir, with all due respect, I’d prefer platnum stars.

OK, for those who haven’t seen the show, R. Lee Ermey spent 11 years in the Marine Corps and has been in several war-related movies. On the show, he answers reader questions about the military. Go to the site below and click on “Target Recon” on the right side to read his bio. When you first click on it, he’ll actually call you a maggot.

How was that for an official answer? [:)]

Erik

that stinks! I want to talk to the web master! Surely he could do 1 more green star with an itty bitty tiara! Since I don’t look anything like Ed in real life, I should look a little different on here too! Don’t you think ?

Erik - are you running for Govenor of California - that was the best double talk today!
