Some big trains in the great white north

Wow. Stumbled upon this website. Some very large scale trains. Look at the detail on these things, beautiful. These guys know how to party!

This is the web site for Rod Johnston’s company, Riding Railkits:

Rod’s wife is Lynn Johnston, the cartoonist for the strip For Better or For Worse.

Our friends up north seem to take Garden Railroading to a whole new level.

Why ,oh why,did the use the theme from “Love Story” for his background music on his website? For those of you who are not children of the seventies, “Love Story” was a very bad romance movie. Basically, it was about this boy and girl who meet and fall in love and then the girl dies of some unspecified illness. If “Plan 9 from Outer Space” is the worst movie ever made, “Love Story” is number two.

That actually is fairly close to me, although I haven’t seen it myself yet. I should make a point of looking it up the next time I’m in Winnipeg. I have heard about this line before and saw a segment of a TV program devoted to it, but had forgotten about it until now.

Well, See if this works?..
Re the St. Croix Pix, the full train photos are 1.5" scale (1/8 actual), with a 7.5" track gauge. Try: www.discoverlivesteam.com and click away!

Well that site is one of my favorite sites.

Do you think they could get a kegger on one of those things?

but using that music means they’ll never have to say they’re sorry [:D]

For sure!
