Some Nevada Northern pictures

I arrived in Ely, Nv. for the first regular run of the Ghost Train’s excoursion run. Here are some shots or the train getting ready and heading to Ruth.

Here is the crew getting on the Alco before gettingthe train together

With the caboose in tow they head for the train

Now on the track to Ruth the train heads through town.

…Boy, that appears like an area out in the wide open spaces.

Any direction it’s about 250 miles to any real civilization. Fortuneately speed limits are relatively high in Nevada [;)]. But it works for me as it’s centeral to the areas I work in at my new job.

I’ve always enjoyed this railroad. Thanks for the series, when I retire I’m hoping to spend summers out that way working on the railroad…
