Wonderful news!!! Can’t wait to see her back in action!
Thanks to all who restored her especially the generosity of Bill Gardner.

Illinois Railway Museum’s Frisco 1630 is well on the way to resuming service, but it may not be back before the 2014 season. That being the case, perhaps IRM could host a few steam appearances with the Soo steamer next summer…
Got to ride in the cab when it was undergoing its break-in runs in Duluth at the depot when it first returned to action. Glad to hear is will be polishing the rails once again.

I have many fond memories of the years I went to Wisconsin with my friends for the many trips on the Wisconsin Central. It was a sad day when CN took over, canceling the trips. Many motels, bars and restaurants enjoyed the business these trips created.
It’s great to see this engine ready for service after a relatively short time. Thanks to all who contributed money and labor to this effort!
