Today I decided to go up to Perry Ohio Today there were other trains but I only want to talk about this one. When I was at Perry I saw two Soo Line Engines. The leader was Soo Line SD60 #6054 and Soo Line SD60M #6062. 6054 had a cool horn on him. He was hauling an Ethanol Train. He was going Eastbound on Track 2 going through Perry Ohio at 1:47PM. If anybody else knew about this train today then tell me and if you do, tell me where he comes from and goes to? Thanks.
I wish I had something more intelegant to say. For some reason brings back memories of an old diesiel SOO Line engine maby a GP38-2 rumbling across the barren late winter farmlands of Ohio. Sort of brings back memories of the good ol’ days I never had… I make myself cry sometimes.[sigh]
The train is handed off to CSX at Barr Yard in Chicago from the CP. It travels to Port Linden N.J.
there have been a few soo line units running on the toledo sub on q 507 and 506.there was also a CP unit (8889) following csx 5500 on g 345 17 on saturday in deshler.
stay safe
