Soo Line N-class Tenders

I recently purchased a USRA 4-8-2 undeced for conversion into a Soo Line 4 class. On my layout it will handle the milk runs.

I am curious about the tender. I haven’t been able to find dimensional data (and yes I’ve asked the Soo Line historical society…it must have been a bad day, because I got brushed off.) on the tenders that were built to go behind these practical clones of the USRA engines. Any help? I’d love drawings, but failing that i’ll take dimensional data.

The Soo 4000 class mountains(N-20) were copies of USRA Light mountains. There were two orders built by Alco(4000-4017), and 3 more assembled from boiler ‘kits’ at Soo’s shops(4018-4020).

They came with a USRA style tender, but with the arrival of the 0-20 class northerns from Lima, Soo purchased additional tenders from Lima that were mated to some of the N-20’s as they were re-built. The NKP berkshire tender is a good starting place for that conversion…
