I was wondering if a company sells a double door White Soo Line box car. I’m also looking for a White with black lettering and the color mark logo box car.(Fon Du Lac type) I know that the Soo Line Historacal and Techinacal Seociety made some but they sold out on them. I was also looking for a brown Soo Line gondola.
Accurail has sold similar freight cars decorated for the SOO LINE.
Walthers at www.walthers.com is the place to search for HO Scale Soo Line rolling stock.
Walthers in Milwaukee where the Soo Line had a past connection from the Milwaukee Road Merger in 1985.

The Double-Door White Soo Line Boxcar in HO Scale would be found at train shows with sale tables of old cars.
Andrew
WCfan at the Southwest Michigan Train Show there are always a ton of HO Scale Soo Line freight cars for sale. If I were not into O Scale I would have bought them. Perhaps a local train show is what you need to attend. Where is the nearest and next train show to you?
Andrew
I saw some today at an Ace Hardware in Tucson, Arizona, but I don’t remember if it was an Athearn Blue Box kit or AccuRail kit.
I’ll be there! I hope you can make it WCfan. [4:-)]
WCfan,
Did you find anything you like yet on the Walthers site or at a local Hobby Shop?
Andrew
Yes, Now I have. I got the 53’ Thrall Gondola and now I only need the White with Red lettering. I got a 60’ SOO flat, A white with green lettering Covered hopper, a out of production ACF SOO Cover Hopper, and Double Door brown Boxcar, and I’m planning to get a SOO brown caboose. (I got this stuff over a period of time from when you last asked this question to now.)
WC Fan, to do those Colormark cars correctly, you’re in for a bit of work.
The ones the SLHTS put out were kinda close, but still a bit off. There’s a project going on my weathering forum right now to do a Fond Du Lac car correctly. One of the fellas there is way ahead of the rest of us on his (I just finally got 90% of the parts-the other 10% are small things on back order, & several Branchline parts took some searching to get. I’m not looking forward to what’s ahead, but I hope for the best.
Either way, I hope to start on mine soon. Here’s the link for the project, & I hope it doesn’t scare you too much. (log in as a guest)
