[:'(] My iwata Ecipse has a rather sharp trigger button and after several minutes of test spraying, my trigger fingers tip is sore. I wonder what I could (or should) put over the button to soften the edge but not so flexible to reduce the “feel”
Try a bandage on your finger tip before you paint.
If it is an irregular shape maybe you could try some silicone sealant.

I can’t remember where I was (maybe Michael’s) and I saw a rubber finger comfort pad. I use a Badger airbrush and the Michael’s I was at only carried Iwata and Paasche, so you might check there. I couldn’t find it on their website, so it may take a trip to one of their stores.
Just curious…did you buy it new or used?
The trigger has a ‘dished out’ area on the underside of it to clear the aft body of the brush when you pull it back for air. If it was installed backwards it could cause a sharper edge on the front side where your finger would be to pull it back.
If you bought it used it may have been re-assembled incorrectly.

This does sound like it may be the case. Not familiar w/ this airbrush or the actual trigger contour.
If not the trouble, add some padding like glasses nose pads or if larger size is needed try corn/ bunion pads cut to fit.
Well I guess helping me with my barn is out of the question.
See what retirement does to ya Bruce. You get city hands.[swg]
