It is extremely unwise to post stock tips such as the above on any internet site. Although it might seem inocouous it can be considered both a crime and the subject of severe civil penalties. Market manipulation in a publicly traded stock is frowned upon by the SEC and Dept. of Justice and even seemingly small or harmless statements can land you in a lot of hot water.

Okay…let’s see…someone I don’t know, tells me to dump CSX for reasons unknown…

  1. If you tell me it’s based on a little inside tip…hint, hint, then it’s breaking the law.

  2. If you tell me its rumor…becasue UP is going to get CSX…it’s rumor, and I buy it, but even then the stock isn’t going to be worthless …we’re talking about a large conglomorate here. The large and institutinal stake holders don’t allow that sort of thing…

  3. If you think they’re going to file for Chapter 11 or 13…companies do it all the time.

  4. The CSX shareholders meeting is 5 May.

Other than that…the tip is as good to me as one of those spams I keep getting on “hot stock tips”

Gee thanks…I’d take your pity, but living in the slums of SOCAL, I don’t have anywhere to store it. You still have to go get more beer. I’m working on a retaining wall today to keep my neighbors backyard in his backyard. And I’m thirsty…bet Vic and Ed could use a cold one too. Please, don’t go to Martha for ANY kind of advice. I used to work for Kmart,
and I still swear, she was the one of the two causes why Kmart had to file
for bankruptcy: the other cause was the CEO at that point in time.
Can’t proove it, but that’s my opinion and thoughts on the matter.
