I’m sorry. I won’t be putting anymore posts that will have bad stuff in them or something that is not related to trains. I’m sorry.
wrawroacx, it is good of you to accept the advice from whichever mod contacted you (not me), and honourable to apologize. As was probably explained in the reason for deleting your post, we try to keep from illuminating criminal or dangerous activity here due to its being a forum open to people of all ages. The Powers That Be don’t want ideas put into any young heads, and don’t want to glorify or lend credibility to things that make railroading harder on its working members than it already is.
All this to say, don’t sweat it. We all get emails or PM’s telling us we have posted something that doesn’t sit well with someone else. I’ve had them, and now you belong to The Club! [:D]

Now I know I can’t put anything bad on it or not train related. Well now I know I can’t do that anymore. Anyway I really don’t even need to do that. Someone will find something stupid while looking on the Internet and post it just like some of the stuff I did, the new people. Just like when I joined in September of 2008 I didn’t know anything about this, now I know everything about Trains. Thanks.

Unfortunately - and in fairness to all involved - it seems that this is just one of those logical conundrums - I happened to see the post before it was deleted (let’s just say it was kids trespasssing on equipment) - where it’s practically impossible to know what the rules are and what’s permitted and what isn’t, until you step over the line and someone calls you on it. Also, there have been lots of other posts over the years of grade crossing and other near-misses, esp. in or from various other countries, etc. So that’s been done here before, but this is the first time I’m aware that such a post has been deleted (and I’m OK with that).
The challenge that I see here is that the prohibited behavior or post shouldn’t be described in detail, as in a rule of "Don’t post this kind of thing - ", because that’s almost as bad as the prohibited post. The impressionable and foolish young minds will see that and think, “Oh, that might be cool to do !”, and then go do it, just about the same as if they’d actually seen the deleted post. A local newspaper columnist here in the Allentown area - Paul Carpenter of The Morning Call - often puts it this way: “If you tell kids not to put beans up their noses, then just what do you think they’re going to do as soon as the adults leave them alone ?” This seems to be of like kind. The Webmaster (or whatever Bergie calls himself) and Moderators can’t come up with a prohibited list of posts because of: A) this inherent nature of juveniles; and, B) because even as creative and intelligent as Bergie and the Mods are, they’ll never be able to think of all the things that might come up in advance to put them on such a list.
So don’t sweat this. It was a pretty well-written apology, considering that it se
Whenever you think you have defined the bottom limit of stupidity…someone goes below it.
Well, that is probably because people are heuristic in their acuisition of experience and knowledge. We always find a way to go around barriers placed before us. [(-D]
