How does one sort the forum topics by subject? The sort area just sorts by date or discussion read and the Search Site window just gives questions and answers by trains staff. I am looking for recent discussions on scanners for train watching and how the switch to digital signals will affect the railroad industry and my scanner.
Don’t think there is a way to sort the threads by subject line.
BUT, if you use Google and search for “Site:Trains.com scanner” it will (somewhat) limit the search to just the trains dot com forums and show you a large list of threads that have “Scanner” in the subject line.
I would like to find a thread titled “My apologies” posted by ____ 765. I posted a reply about dealing with depression. I can’t find it on here. It might be as long as 5 years ago.

A possible solution might be the Community Search feature, access is located along the right page border.
My suggestion is to use a single “key word”. ( single words seem to work best) phrases get poor results,IMHO.
