Sound Decoder Installation for a Kato SD90MAC

Can anyone recommend an article that explains which sound decoder to install in a Kato SD90MAC and also how to do it?

Thanks, Gord.

Here you go dude. Follow this link…http://www.trainbuddy.com/Reference/Decoding%20Engines/Sound/Kato%20SD90.htm

I dont know of an article but I put a Loksound decoder in one.

I put the speaker in the cab area, and had to cut some of the interior seating to make it fit.

The decoder plugged right into the orginal board. install about 30 min.

hope this helps

Glenn, which model of Loksound did you use? and the speaker, is faced up or down? did you drill any area?. Thanks

Doc,

the model on the side of the box, loksound v3.5 #82409, also the speaker is facing down with no drilling at all. i just snaked the wires thru the cab after taking it all apart the decoder sits on top of where the two light bars come together. right under the shell.

hope this helps

if you need more info, send me an email with your address and ill send you some pics.
