Yup, strange stuff at least to me! Makes me wonder… if I had increased from 1 to 2 as opposed to 5, would I have had the same results? Think I’ll leave well enough alone!
CV11 (in these cases) sets the length of time before the decoder “times out”. If set to 1, it means “wait one second, and if you haven’t received an instruction, then stop”. If set to 5, it waits 5 seconds, etc. If set to 0, the decoders will not time out, they will run indefinitely. Some DCC systems send instructions several times per second, on a constant basis, others may only send an instruction every so often.
