You’re not going to get good sound with DC – you need DCC in order to get all of the available sounds that are incorporated into decoders.
I would recommend that you try MDC. If you have a diesel you can choose options up to 11 horns and 7 whistles and other kinds of options. So thats why I think you should try it out and see what you like from it.
That depends on how one is defining “good” sound. I interpreted this as actual high quality sound, not as how many playable noises it had. In the sound quality area there is no difference between DC and DCC.
Once again if the definition of “good” sound is having lots of options and things to play with, then my comments are not correct. But if you are defining “good” sound as the quality of the sound coming out of the speaker to your ears, avoid MRC. They are the worst sounding of all the units on the current market.
