Soundtraxx decoder wiring question

Does anyone know how to wire a Soundtraxx DSD-LL110LC? I got one without an instruction sheet. It has the 8 pin NMRA connector on it but I can’t tell which pins the speaker should be connected to. Googled until my fingers started to bleed but couldn’t find the info.

Thanks,
gh

The manual is at http://www.soundtraxx.com/docs/LCManual.pdf

Look at Page 12, Figure 9 for wiring.

Note that since sound is not part of the NMRA standards, I wouldn’t expect it to come out of the NMRA connector.

Good luck!

Read those instructions… The 2 purple wires are the speaker wires and one of them must have a capacitor connected between the wire and the speaker terminal. The speaker doesn’t go through the plug, that’s only for basic lights and the motor functions. Make sure you get that speaker wiring correct, damage could result if you don’t.

OK - I have one of those things here with the instructions.

The speaker wires need to be soldered into other end of the decoder away from the 8 pin plug. Instructions say use a low wattage soldering iron <25W.

Seems straightforward to me - I only got this one last week. Just got to install it now…

I you want to wait a day I could scan the instruction sheet & send it on to you…

Ah, so, that’s the trick. They don’t use the plug at all. I thought that might be the case but didn’t see any obvious place to do the soldering. If you could send that instruction sheet that would be great. Thanks a bunch.

For others info, the manual on Soundtraxx website does not pertain to the plug’n’play decoder for Lifelike. I’m missing the instruction sheet which must be packaged with the decoder, but which is not posted on the website.
