How do you install a Sountraxx DSX?

  1. Install the motor control decoder. Preferable one with a 9 pin JST so you can remove it.

  2. Program the motor control decoder. Make sure the loco RUNS like you want it to. Remove the motor control deocder (or lock it).

  3. Install the DSX. From the DSX, the red and black wires go to track pickups and the other wires go to your speaker and your capacitor.

  4. Program the deocder for the DSX. Make sure the loco SOUNDS the way you want it.

  5. Reisntall (or unlock) the motor control decoder.

This is called a dual decoder install.
