Looks a little tighter than your 2-8-0 conversions. Do you see a significant difference in performance between you MDC 2-6-0’s with sound and your 2-8-0 Tsunamis?
The Tsunami in the MDC 2-8-0 is a real performance improvement over DC. It will drift if the throttle is left on 1.
The roundhouse/athearn 4-4-0 and the 2-8-0 both run well. The switching speeds of the Tsunami 2-8-0 are improved because of the smaller drivers of the 2-8-0. The sound is better with the Tsunami because it is a better decoder and has more options. I am still happy with the 4-4-0 sound.

how big a shoehorn did you use ?

Try putting a speaker in the stack on these. A buddy of mine did and WOA! does it sound great. Model had a balloon stack and a round speaker fit right in.
I love to hear sound from the engine, even on tiny guys like these!
