Getting ready to put a decoder in 2 P2K Santa Fe GP30 Diesels and a Santa Fe GP60 diesel. Instructions in the NCE P2KSR Decoder mention that I should replace the stock headlights with one of the following
Miniatronics 12-310-05 Yeloglo White LED
Richmond Controls Golden White LED
Miniatronics 10-712-10 (12v) or 18-014-10 (18v)
Also recommended is a 1.5v resistor.
Layout is HO and will be using a Digitrax Super Chief system.
What is the best LED to go with? Where’s the best place online to get LED and resistors?

You can order the Miniatronics items directly from their website. www.miniatronics.com I use their Yeloglo LEDs in a couple of my locos, and they look great. I am going to start replacing the lights on all my locos. with them. If you buy the 10 pack of LEDs, they include several different values of resistors.

He doesnt tell who manufactures the LEDs, but they look great and he includes resistors and free shipping in most orders. Ships from hong kong though so takes a little while but its well worth the savings.
