Source for PC Board throw bar?

There was an article (maybe a sidebar) in MR recently where the author had a source for PC board strips that were the right width to use as turnout throw bars. Anyone recall?

Thanks.

Jim

Try Clover House. There might be others, but this is the one supplier I could think of off hand.

Another source, but with no web presence, is:

The width of a throw bar is really a personal choice. The prototype does not use a tie-width bar. They use tie rods or similar for the throw linkage. Proto87 Stores has some parts and suggestions for more realistic appearing throw mechanisms.

With that in mind, I cut my own throw bars with width and length to suit from a piece of PC board I bought at Radio Shack. I’ve used hand metal shears, hack saw, and an Atlas track saw to cut the PC board.

If you are looking for a tie-width throw bar, Fast Tracks sells PC ties.
