I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find a list of southeatern michigan railroad yards so I can go and take pitures of some trains
When Trains was doing their series on regional hot spots, SE Michigan was one that was covered. Get into the magazine index and you should be able to search it out. After that you’ll have to see about getting the back issue.
The only yards I can think off off hand are Plymouth (also site of a junction between N-S and E-W CSX lines) and Sterling (mentioned in a recent MR). The article I mentioned was pretty comprehensive, to the point of suggesting trainwatching locations, IIRC.
