I heard this over the scanner last night even before the local news reports came out. This happened on UP tracks south of Springfield. The person on the scanner said something about damage to the front of the leading loco. So, it looks like a GE Genesis is going to need repairs.

AUBURN —
AUBURN — The southbound Amtrak Texas Eagle was delayed for more than three hours Friday night after it struck a grain truck loaded with corn at the Narmont Road crossing just north of Auburn.
Neither the truck driver, Kristopher Conover, 34, of Virden, nor anyone on the train was seriously injured, according to Sangamon County Sheriff Neil Williamson. Paramedics were summoned to check out the about 200 passengers.
Conover was taken to Memorial Medical Center as a precaution. An Amtrak employee who complained of shoulder pain also was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The accident was reported at 6:19 p.m.
The train hit the trailer portion of the tractor-trailer on the passenger side, then traveled about another third of a mile. The engine, which ended up near the ball diamonds in Auburn, sustained significant damage, Williamson said.
The passengers, however, remained with the train, and the sheriff said he expected the train would be able to continue at some point Friday night.
There are no crossing arms and two sets of tracks at the Narmont crossing, Williamson said.
