Southern Michigan Railroad Society looks to restore RS-1

Excepting almost any steam locomotive, the engine I regret not running in my 42 years is an RS1…well… I missed C-Liners, fired DL600’s, RSD5’s’, DL702s,…likely some other post 1940 engines.
But then, the S2s and S4s, they masqueraded if you cranked up your imagination.
I wish complete success to this endeavor.

This a great idea but I hope the Society learns to do a better job in communicating with their members than they have in the past.!

“There isn’t a train I wouldn’t take, no matter where it’s going.” - Edna St. Vincent Millay

I hope they succeed in their venture.
