SP steam locomotive #745 has been visiting Kansas City for a while and recently it steamed up the old CB&Q Kearney branch to be the centerpiece of our Sesquicentennial celebration here in Kearney MO. Wonderful photo opportunities to photograph her with her coaches. Steamed by the last of the operating wig-wag crossing signals here in Missouri. #745 will be on display at Union Station in Kansas City until the end of August. She will then return home to New Orleans.

Supposed to be down around Pittsburg this weekend. I don’t know when its coming south but I’m keeping an ear open.
LASTA"S Mike# 475 will be in Pittsburg on this Saturday and Sunday, Aug 5th & 6th.
Scheduled to run a total of six public fan trips 3 on each day. Will be run over the SK&O out of Pittsburg to Cherokee and return.
