what all R.R companys can i match to SP i have a n scale dummy version of the locomotive and wanted to know if there was any other besides SP i could put with it.im new to this hobby well sort of and looking for some info

Welcome to the forum Dave. The Southern Pacific or Espee as it is often called lasted a little over 125 years. It was merged into the Union Pacific in 1996. It had tracks over much of the western and southwestern parts of the US.
As to what to match your locomotive with I can recommend Cotton Belt as that was a subsidiary company to the Espee and Union Pacific as that road had close ties to Espee before the merger. Other companies may fit in there as well, perhaps you could tell us what you want to do. Do you want to model a particular place or time period for Espee?
