Hey!
I’ve looked all over but I can’t find any… I need decals for steam locos (not the green scheme) and decals for passenger cars, streamlined and lightweight.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Dave

Here are some other sources from the www.hosam.com site (which is a really good source of info for modeling Southern Railway):

I’ll be looking for the same thing in about 4 months. Going to start collecting motive power for my 1900-1905 Asheville Division layout. Pre-Green steam era…

Microscale doesn’t make a Southern steam decal set.
I Googled this issue, and dug through the Great Decals site, have good news & bad news. The good news is that there USED to be Southern steam decals on the market. The bad news is that they USED TO be available.
Champ made sets EH-32 for freight steam, and sets EH-232, EH-232S, EH-232D and EH-232SD for passenger engines. They’re sold out and won’t rerun them…ever.
Walthers used to make set 934-88700 for freight steam and set 934-88750 for passenger steam. Both are listed as “sold out; no rerun” on the Walthers site.
Besides those two possibilities, you seem to be SOL. CDS Dry Transfers MIGHT make them, but I don’t have their catalog to check (and CDS doesn’t believe in the internet). You might want to ask Walthers about rerunning these decals, but don’t hold your breath. Your best bet is to haunt Ebay, and to call every hobby shop in the country looking for the above sets.
Alternatively, if you can find ONE of each set, you might consider having them specially printed by Rail Graphics. Considering all the sets are discontinued, having a few sets made for your own use shouldn’t step on copyrighting laws.
www.discounttrainsonline.com have them cheap.
Please show me where…
Have you tried asking someone at this site. SRHS
