HELLO ALL, I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING STEAM AND DIESEL OF THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I AM PLANNING TO BUILD A LAYOUT OF MEMPHIS, TN. AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONS IN THE 1940’S ERA. TWO THINGS: I AM LOOKING FOR TRACK PLANS OF SOUTHERN’S FORREST YARD IN MEMPHIS, TN. ALSO, WHERE CAN I GET P2K E6A/B SOUTHERN’S “THE TENNESSEAN” WITH DCC AND SOUND AT A GOOD PRICE.? THANKS, ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. [8D]
I know that you can find the P2K E6A/B with DCC and sound in the Southern Ry
“Crescent” paint scheme fairly easy. I have one and it’s an excellent model.
I haven’t seen them in another Southern scheme, but I haven’t looked that hard either.
Good luck, Dave
I don’t think the E6’s used for the Tennesssean had any special markings similar to the Crescent.

I do not think the Southern had any special diesel paint schemes just for The Crescent, Tennessean, or any other name trains. Just good old Southern Green and White. Also, The Crescent wasn’t always pulled by a PS4 with the crescent on it either, but they were all painted green.
The P2K Southern E6 A/B sets I have in my display case here at my shop are lettered “The Tenneseean” on the nose. They have QSI DCC and sound. Might be just what you are looking for? [;)]
FWIW…the info I have are these have been discontinued.

Somewhere I have a list of what a typical consist would be for the Tennessean if you are in need of that info. Unfortunately, as I remember several of the cars are not exactly available (meaning you will have to kitbash or substitute a similar car).
