The Southern delivered cement for years in 70T hoppers. Then customers ask for larger loads. Never one to throw anything away, they set about converting them to 100T cars. They did this by adding to the height, 100T trucks with brakes, and bracing where needed. I built my model using two Bowser kits, brass angle, 100T KD trucks, styrene and lots of rivets. The photos have the car painted and unpainted to show detail. Flickr has improved the photos. To make them larger, click the photo. To make it much larger, click the upside T in the lower right corner. Thanks for looking.

Jim, Bryan, Thank you for your kind comments. Regards, Bobby

I’m glad you took some shots before painting and lettering - they helped make things more clear. Nice workmanship.

Thank you David. I enjoy others prepaint models. Like you said, the details and amount of work are easy to see. Regards, Bobby
