I know that alot of you out there already know of this web site but for those of you who don’t,I thought id give it to ya anyway.
My uncle has been spending alot of his time doing alot of reserching on this once great pennsylviana railroad which is no longer running but is part of our history once in our life time or most. If you have an intrest in the old past and like spending the time just looking up old once used now abandoned rail lines that you might find of an intrest. But anyway,Here is his link:

BSNF railfan…Yes, that is a very interesting subject…My home was within 10 miles where it passed in Pennsylvania. The SouthPenn RR was never finished and so no SPRR trains ever ran over this ROW. Construction was roughly 70 % complete when work was stopped in 1885. The Pennsylvania Turnpike {the original 160 miles}, was built approx. on this ROW back in 1938 to 1940…Opened Oct. 1, 1940. It all is a very interesting subject and for any interested, lots of the partially completed features {of the SouthPenn}, are still visible across Pennsylvania.

BNSF railfan: There is lots of info on this subject re: SouthPenn RR…and if possibly they are not aware of it…check Google and enter in that name and it will bring up multible websites on the subject…
