My son and I were watching the webcam of Brooklyn yard in Portland and saw what looked like SP GS-4 4449 thursday night.Anyone know what the occasion was?

It was on an excursion this weekend.
Great website, Eric. What interested me more is that a great locomotive like the 4449 might go homeless… check out the breakin window on the site.

A new “home” for the three steam engines owned by the City of Portland, Oregon, is being built in NW Portland. When it is completed, the Brooklyn Roundhouse and engine facilities are supposed to be removed and any remaining work is to be moved to Albina.

the third engine is Union Pacific (ORN) 4-6-2 197 I dont if they restoring to ORN looks or the later UP looks and number 3203 but it will operate again in the future
