SP Daylight Question

I finally got to see the entire movie of Tough Guys. There was one thing about the train scene at the end of the movie that made me question something.

When Kirk Douglas’ character uncouples the cars from the tender, the coupler cut lever is from the top. Is this right or was it just added for the movie. I don’t think the extra railing on top of the cars was part of the passenger cars originally.

I can state it was built without this feature, didn’t have it on AFT duty, or in 1989 last time I was up close and personal, judging by the video, seems rather makeshift and temporary to me.

Thanks for posting the video. Now I have to see the movie. I would be interested to know where the scene was filmed. Kind of reminds me of the Eagle Mountain Railroad area.

You’re right about the Eagle Mountain Railroad
