I think you’re stuck with scratchbuilding as there’s no kit I know of in N scale that even bears a faint resemblance. Do you have any of the major dimensions? If not, you might be able to obtain drawings from the CSRM in Sacramento. Just looking at pictures ( http://sptco.tnorr.com/Depots-Colonnade/SP_Colonnade-Depots.htm ), the roof appears to be a 6 pitch (6" rise in 12"). If I were to hazard a guess, the columns are spaced at roughly 12 foot intervals.
Well, I just checked the CSRM and no station drawing is available. However, there is an undated valuation map that might be of some help:
Southern Pacific. 872 13 22K / 60163 B Valuation Section: V 18 / S 9b. Not dated El Centro: station map, lands, tracks, structures [includes schedules of property, 1903-1957]. Scale: 1:100. 24 x 56 Blue line on white paper. Filing location:Big Four Map Case 2 + D ID 21039
Incidentally, there are some nice pics of El Centro in John Signor’s “Beaumont Hill” on pages 55 (station in 20’s or so), 75 (“Imperial” pulling into station in 1946) and especially pages 120-121 (taken in 50’s).
Don’t know if any of this helps, but if it does, good luck.

Thanks Andie - SPTCO was my source too and I took pictures there a few years ago. Build the box with the side wall features, the roof and the columns?
Chuck:
Cool project! Keep us posted.
