Okay, so I’ve been trying to find drawings of the SP GS-2’s Trailing truck for a while. If anyone has any I’d like help fining them so I can create a model of it in Autocad and have it sent to Shapeways to be made into a Plastic replacement part for my current SP GS-3 model that I’m working on.
There appears to be sources for Lima Locomotive drawings available online. Have you exhausted them?
I suspect it unlikely that folks here would have drawings of a GS-2 trailing truck tucked away.

I can’t find anything online.

I have kitbashed several Rivarossi Cab Forwards into an AC-9s and needed the trailing truck. I bought the Precision Scale brass trailing truck kit #31555 for my AC-9. The Bachmann GS series 74031-00J02-2 truck will also work.
The brass truck in the picture above is primer before the weathered black coat.

Well That’s not the same truck as the original GS-2 so what I need is the prototypical drawings from the top view and the front plus all the major details needed.(Rivet Counter)

If the Lima drawings made it through the mergers in the late 40s and early 50s the California Railroad Museum most likely has a drawing but unless you can find someone in Sacramento that is willing to spend hours looking through the files for you will have a difficult time finding one.
I spent eight hours twice going through the Lima drawings looking for some specific information on an AC-9 without success. There are thousands of files with limited indexing.
Good luck!

Want to know something funny, I actually have the AC-9 Trailing truck right now…
I kitbashed three Rivarossi AC-10/12 into AC-9s and started a fourth but I stalled out on it. I did buy four of the Precision Scale trucks so if I don’t finish it I too will have a spare trailing truck.
I’m not a rivet counter by any means, just real close is OK with me. My AC-9s look pretty good until I see a nice import.

I agree! That’s a nicely-done kitbash.

If any of the previous links prove fruitless, try contacting the Allen County Museum in Ohio. They have an extensive inventory of drawings and photos from Lima Locomotive Works. I utilized their materials in the early 1980’s when researching a project for Key Imports.
