What is the current owner and status of the SP Sikiyou line? I was thinking of modelling it in N, after Joe Fugates’ design, and I heard that it is now owned by BNSF. Is this right?

Yep, CORP it is, and their parent company is Rail America. Rail America owns several rail shortlines around the country.
Although I miss the grungy scarlet and gray of the SP, and the big SD40s, SD45s, and T2 (tunnel motors) that used to roam this line, I have to admit CORP has shown more personal attention to rail shippers on the line and rail business is booming compared to the last of the SP days.
Were you thinking of doing a mushroom design in N scale?
