Space Between N scale intermodal yard tracks

What would be the cest spacing between tracks in a N scale intermodal yard?

On mine to two tracks are 3/4" apart. This is more spacing then I use in yards as workers must be able to move around both side of the well cars when removing or adding containers. Then the space when the containers are loaded or off loaded on trailers is almost double that.

I went on line and looked at aerial views of small intermodal yards and these spacings looked about right.

My TOFC tracks are closer to 1/2" apart though as I did those tracks first.

You must be using some other measurement than centerline-to-centerline (which is the way most people talk about track spacing). 3/4" centerline-to-centerline won’t work for N scale.

Opps. I goofed! [:$]1-1/4" and 1" from center to center is closer to reality. These distances are because I use a Mi-Jack travel cranes from Walthers for my intermodal loading and off loading and this is done off to one side of both tracks.
