SpaceMouse

Does Chip win the prize for fastest newbie to win 4 stars?

Let’s see, he joined on December 27, 2004, and in 19 weeks has 1463 posts. That’s 77 per week - 11 per day average.

And his posts are always so interesting!!!

Good going, Chip.

He wins a new keybord for his computer.

Maybe I need to win a life?

Congratulations SpaceMouse, you earned your stars with quality Topics more than merely volume. Prompter said it right. Hope to see many more in the future.

I agree. So many of his topics are so interesting. Seems he jumps into things with both feet. It’s been entertaining because I joined a whole month before him and look at my post count. Even at that, I feel like I spend too much time on here.

Good job Chip and keep it up. I’m learning with you.

Wow, spacemouse! I joined just 3 days after you did and I’ve still only got 2 stars [:(] I guess I spend too much time reading your posts??? I do enjoy your posts very much!

Nah, he needs a mouse…[:D]

Would he have “space” for it?

I joined in December and have 35 posts (now 36!) [:(]

Chip, I haven’t followed the forum too much lately due to other things on my schedule, so I was surprised the other day to see that you had so many posts already. It seems like such a short time ago you were boasting about reaching 100! I joined not long after you did, and I’m not quite even halfway to my second century mark (from the first century mark, that is)! Congratulations!

P.S. Do you even remember what your CAS stuff looks like? Since you’re involved at the club layout, are you going to need to build a “loco” cart? My gun cart’s not even a year old and I’m already thinking about building another cart for the model railroad stuff!

Cheers to Chip! And I agree with everyone, his posts are never anything less than readable, and his questions and comments are always intelligent. It’s the old adage: “If you don’t ask, you don’t learn,” and he’s living up to it.

Yes. SpaceMouse is a good guy. That’s another post point for me…

Hat’s off to you Chip.

Speaking of Prolific Posters: Has anybody recently seen or heard from Turbo Tim?[8] I bet he would be giving Chip a ‘run for his money’ if he had kept coming here as often as he did. I think he joined at about the same time, too.

I’m a newbe but from what I have seen of his post and feedback he does help this site very much. Me when I found out about stars couldn’t wait to get my first so started making comments to comment now I have my first I’ll probally slow down but keep coming and reading all the great and not so great topiocs/polls that all put in . Still feel thou this is one of the best forums I have been with . Thanks to members like spacemouse [^][2c][tup][tup]

I have a job, wife, yard work, church, and freinds. I’m doing good if I can get on for 45 minutes a day.

I’m sorry, but I think that distinction belongs to me.

congragulations! I can see some jeloucy in this forum.

Again I think the word is newbie not someone thats been here ayear plus but It does seem you have the most in the amount of time you have been here so congrats on 273.5 post a month , that only breaks down to 62 a week or 9.41 a day sorry mouse has you beat nice try If prompter’s math is right.

Congrats, SpaceMouse. I, like others, do spend time reading the posts. But many times I just don’t have anything to contribute, so I don’t put in a reply. 11 posts a day…wow. That’s lots of reading for me to match. Guess I’ll have to try harder!!

There is no jealousy involved. In the time period specified, at the beginning of my membership, my daily average was around 15 per day. Those who have been around for a while can attest to this. There are a couple of other people that I am aware of that also had very high daily averages when they started, higher than Chip’s. Bill Matthewson and Mark Hemphill come quickly to mind.

The proof of my claim can be found in the link below. The date was March 20th 2004, and I marked the milestone. Doing the math, that’s 1000 posts in 110 days. Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact date of Chip’s 1000th. My second thousand was even faster, only 67 days. Then I stopped counting.

For the record, this is not a contest, it is for entertainment and perhaps education. In my opinion content is far more important than quantity.
