Just wondering if anyone had heard from Spacemouse? I miss his postings and ramblings.
I know this is off topic but he did post some good questions and give good advice. Thanks Jim.

You got me. I asked about him in another thread after someone brought him up, but of course sine I’m not in the clique around here, it got ignored. I was hoping some of this snob stuff would change with the new forum. Heck, I’ll talk to anybody.
Ithink he said he was going on vacation to Wisconsin. He wondered about visiting Minnesota but I don’t think he was planning to get here.
I believe in another thread just after we went live on this new forum, Spacemouse indicated he would be away for about 2 weeks.
Spacemouse said he was going on vacation, I do not recall where he was going but he should be back this weekend sometime. I’m with you I miss his posts. Mike
Well good. I hope all is well with him.
Robert I don’t think it’s so much a snob thing on the forum as it is that people have to decide which post to answer. I myself don’t read all the posts each day, I scan the list and decide which ones I will read. If I can help on some then I post if not I just stay quiet. Most of the people on here are very knowlegable and more than willing to help. If I post and no one answers then I just figure 1. Everyone is busy with something else or 2. maybe I didn’t make the subject line clear [interesting] .Their is some good people on this forum , but don’t expect a response everytime. Just my [2c] worth. Good Luck! Thanks Jim
Yeah, I think he’s still on vacation, he was talking about doing some fishing too ! Lucky dog.(mouse).
Agreed. This is a busy time of year, and many of us must pick and choose from titles. It is not a snob thing.
This topic has appeared several times. People feel they are being ignored. It is because either no one knows the response among the viewers who have seen the question to that point, or someone who does know has not seen it.
Chip does go on vacation up in Wisconsin during the summer. Last year he was going to take some kits along with him to see what he could accomplish during the wee hours, after everyone went to bed. I’m sure Chip will return to the forum much rested and with a renewed vengeance and vigor to “spur” us on to new heights of MRR topics and conversations.
Tom
Maybe I was wrong. It might not be a snob thing…there are bunches of members here, and a BUNCH more posts. I’m just going by the unanswered post tab at the top on the general forum page. There are quite a lot of them.
Robert,If I am not interested in a topic or if I feel the question as been sufficiently answered I will not make a reply. The same holds true if I don’t know the answer or in some cases understand a poorly worded question.
So,in all truth its not really a snob thing in most cases but,a culling of the questions.
You may well be right. Thanks, Larry.
I’m Baaacccckkkk!
Isn’t it nice to be missed? Most of us could disappear, and no one would be the wiser. Hope yall had a good time.
Hey, dude! You didn’t ask my permission to go on vacation; some people make others happy whereever they go; others make others happy whenever they go!! You, undoubtedly, have made many happy by coming back.
Now!! Be honest!! Did you really go fishing?? And did you catch anything?? or did you just drown worms for two weeks??? Be honest!!!
Welcome home Spacemouse. Did you have a good vacation? Mike
Not really. My boat had a few woes when I went to launch it. All it took was new plugs and a new battery, but by the time I got it going it was the last day.
I did manage to catch a 26" Tiger Muskie off the shore with 4 lbs test on an ultra light. Took about 5 minutes to land and the drag was whirring the whole time. Sucker hit a Hula Pooper.
Had a 34 inch Muskie hit a Hula Popper when I was using an ultra light in a canoe about 10 years ago. Took a half hour to land (or so it seemed) and I was dragged 100 yards out into the lake.
Usually, I catch enough fish to feed the family reunion (17 people +/-) a fish fry. This year was the first I failed to git er done.
This is what I did instead.

Spacemouse;
Despite your boat problems sounds like you had an enjoyable time; I’ve returned from vacations feeling more exhausted than when I left; hope yours wasn’t that way!!!
Again, welcome back.
P.S. I was wandering around in the Layouts section last week and there was a young fellow - a rookie handled wyonate - who was having trouble getting a good layout design going. I directed him to your “Beginners Guide …” topic because I really felt that you had touched bottom and your advice had a lot to offer him. I didn’t exactly agree with everything you said but it was an extremely good post.
