Does anyone know if a spartan cab SD-70 has ever been produced in N-scale in either plastic or brass? If not, how hard would it be to kit-bash one and what might be a good starting point. I’m also wondering about an n-scale SD-40A. Those are the only two models I can’t find for my planned modern-day CN/IC Waterloo division layout.

They did these in HO scale but I don’t think they’ve ever been offered in N scale.
I’d do a google search and see if anything pops up.

I don’t know N guage that well, but I would think someone would have oem parts that you may be able to get in the form of a cab & short hood shell. The only thing is, that may be the chassis is designed for the wide nose cab & may not allow the fitment of a narrow hood nose, (withouth a visit to a milling machine) …
I’m HO & beginning to model Canadian loco’s, so I’m interested in what you are wanting to do. Do you have any internet references to those units?
