Did you understand it? FYI, this does not mean this is a substitute for spelling correctly. This is just FOR FUN.
Yes, I could read it. It took about three times as long, though. It could have been encrypted and taken a thousand times as long. So what? It doesn’t palliate the use of improper grammar and spelling…
Alright, post has become a failure. This was just for fun. Nowhere did I say “So, if you get it this close, everything will be cool.” But, of course, we just have to take it to that point.
There is a big difference between … “I am a fool” and “I am a fowl”
Every spellchecker in the world will tell you that both sentences are correctly spelt; but you’ll get a very different response from people who read them.
I think the point of the research should be that the brain sees what it thinks should be right-the quoted/scrambled PH is composed of mostly common word we have seen thousand of times and just assume what they are-99% of the time you are right but its that 1% that can be dangerous, foul vs fowl-close but not the same
Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.
Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it
Eye am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.
I agree with Bob and Timothy. There are certain words that sohuld be banned from spell checkers. For example, they’re, there, and their should not be allowed but should be highlighted, requiring the user to make sure the correct word is being used.
For those who misunderstood, my remark about spell checkers was meant to be facetious. The ability to communicate clearly is an important part of our development. Proofreading is an important part of communication. Spell checkers have a very long way to go before I will rely on one as a sole means to verify the content of my writings.
