as part of the annual Doors Open event in Toronto the John Street roundhouse is going to be open to visitors !

Doors Open is an annual event that lets the public into buildings that may or may not normally be open to the public .
I’ve been wanting to go there and see how the restoration is coming. Guess what I’m doing Saturday?

Thanks for the heads up. I will try to attend. One can only dream about the free samples. For those in other areas Steam Whistle is a micro brewery and pub.
I went a couple of years ago. Good chance for up close pics of the details of the roundhouse and the turntable.
When I went Union Station was also giving tours. Got to walk through the end windows and down into the basement.
The last time I was there, there was no turntable and the pit was filled in. I heard they have it “stored” some place…
The table is inside the roundhouse.
