With this involving Union Pacific, the state of Nebraska better get full clearance for even mentioning UP. This might infringe on UP’s copyright policies. I feel certain Lincoln knew how over-obsessed UP would become when he was signing the Pacific Railway Act in 1862. Sometimes UP seems to forget it was the PEOPLE who made its existence possible.
I am very pleased to hear that Nebraska’s Department of Motor Vehicles will be issuing a special set of license plates to honor the Union Pacific Railroad’s 150th anniversary. I know two other states, such as my home state, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, that have already issued special license plates to honor their railroad history, and heritage, as well. Will other state also be issuing special license plates to honor their railroad history and heritage, as well?
Seems to me the museum should get some revenue from this. I’m sure at least $60 of the $70 fee is found money for the state.
Can I get them for my vehicle in Kansas?
