Check Ebay for a technical manual on the one you’re refering. It should show an internal parts diagram.
Hi Tom… thanx millions… i’l try to find via ebay.
Until fairly modern times, the engineer’s speedometer was his watch. He was expected to occasionally measure the time elapsed between mileposts to determine his speed. The rule books often had tables to convert the time to speed. Even in modern times, the engineer is expected to check the speedometer against his watch. Even if the speedometer is off, he is still responsible for obeying the spped limits.
Have fun
Some of the old steamer use biyclce speedometers.
I’ve picked up a lot of old technical and training manuals for old steam and diesel era accessories, I mean appliances. Look also to see if ICS (International Correspondence School) ever published anything like you’re looking for here. Do an Ebay search for “ICS” as well as “International Correspondence” under Railroadiana.
