Thanks so much to Trains magazine for this article! We were there today, and even though it was in the 90’s by 10 am, my wife and I loved it!

I WISH I WERE THERE!!!
As a Southern Railway System fan, I was tickled to be at Spencer to see these units. I told my wife they are beautiful because they really are. She believed me. NC Transportation Museum had this well organized and very hospitable. NS made some scheduel changes that frustrated best light for pictures but adjusted well. I am grateful for NS doing the units and bringing them together. I traveled only 80 miles; I met folks who came thousands. Way to go NS! Way to go NC Transportation Museum. The July 3 event helped evolve me from a Southern fan to an NS fan for the corporation keeping all that history alive so beautifully.
Wow
Epic… Would love to reflect on it as the beginning of a trend
Was there on the 3rd. An awesome display both at the round
house and power parade!!! Quite hot sunny high 90’s. Lot’sa
other stuff to see and cool off between happenings. As usual
there’s always a few incosiderate a#$hole people. A really
1st class show, and I was glad to be there!!
Would be nice if they ran a simultaneous article about these and UP’s Special and Heritage Units. Would be also nice if UP would consider all of it’s heritage feeder roads like the Texas & Pacific (Mo Pac) and San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake (UP) and others. Would make a great addition to the Mag coming out about NS’s Heritage units…

I’m curious - why is there no modern NS scheme locomotive in the lineup? Shouldn’t celebrating the railroad’s heritage include honoring the current day?
to all the ns people involved from the 1st ideal thru this grand assembly today, thank you.
91,400 horses that sired a Thoroughbred… A magnificent sight!
WOW! This is awesome X 20. Well done Norfolk Southern!
I attended the July 4 event and it was worth every penny I spent for the ticket and getting there, the staff and management of the museum were great. Thank you everyone one involved.
