A similar Sperry No. 905 - but with a much longer test rig, looked to be about 6 to 8 ft. long with 4 small wheels on each side, 2 in front and 2 at the trailing end - was observed testing the rails while traveling slowly eastbound (geographic) on the Norfolk Southern’s Lehigh Line eastward track between the 31st St. SW and 12th St. grade crossings, from about 12:45 to 12:50 PM today (Mon. 23 June 2008), for those in the area who might want to keep an eye out for it.
