has anyone used the spline lattice road-bed to any success? I am having some luck, but cannot get radiuses under 24". I am working on a 10’ x 15’ layout
in N scale. Have a cool idea for the layout. but not much time it.
A whole lot of work. Just don’t use hot-glue! We had one person at the club who did a whole town with hot glue. He got it done in about 1/10th the normal time. We thought it was really cool until about 5 years later it just all came loose.
You might need to steam the wood to get it to bend tighter. I’ve only used it for HO scale and for radii of 32" and larger.
If you can’t get the pine to bend, have you given any thought to using masonite strips for the spline? Many have successfully used this method. It is very strong and should actually go faster than the pine lath. I believe Joe Fugate uses this method of spline.

You didn’t say what thickness your splines are. Are they 1/8" - 3/16"?
