I like that idea. I put a background building, the Walthers Arrowhead Brewing Company, on the aisle that way. Face on from the layout side, it had all small windows and wasn’t worth an interior, but with the back exposed I had the opportunity to add tanks and piping for a more interesting model.
My problem, though, was protecting it from myself as I walked by on that narrow aisle. Simplicity on the building’s roofline, no ornaments, signs or tall chimneys, will help with that.
I think that’s a great solution! I’ve seen it done with big structures like a roundhouse. Think of the photo opportunities where you can shoot a train passing by through the windows.
I agree taking photos from the inside out would be cool. You should have a little person washing windows staring back at anyone the bends over to have a look inside.[(-D]
