I’m wondering if any one has tried modeling this layout? If so, how’d it go? Did the track fit as shown? Any other info of note? Pictures would be great! [:D]
It looks okay…I have the book. I can say anything about modeling it though.

I’ve been intrigued by that one as well. It looks like it has a lot of operating possibilities besides continuous running. If I were to build it (and I might yet), I would like to expand the radius to at least 24 inches and perhaps make both extensions along the wall a little longer to allow for staging as well as industry. I think I would omit the port scene as it would be difficult to recreate convincingly in such little space and simply make that an interchange with the parent railroad. I think its biggest attraction is that it makes such good use of available space. My wife and I are currently in the process of selling our home and moving into a manufactured home with a den that would accommodate the 5x9 foot version. I’ll be anxious to hear how yours goes. Don’t forget to post pictures and we can all learn from your experience.

Thanks, Mike. I’m moving and I think that this would be a great continuation of my present layout. I’ve just started over and I have about 12 feet of a linear layout which would segway neatly into the right side of the SP&W. Plus, it would be a good apartment room layout! [:D]
