would like some input from someone who has dealt with SPR Backshops, Sterling Heights, MI. custom model painting, detailing, etc. for model RR engines and cars. looking for good place to send an engine for repainting and detailing. thanks, michael.
Good painters are in great demand and therefore demand a high proce. My advice is to find a local to do the job. No mailing or damage resulting from mailing Etc. You are in a good area for MRR clubs and a few calls to local hobby shops may lead you to a good painter. Even a person who doea other hobbies can be trained to weather and paint.
Just my thoughts.
SPR is the hands down absolute best. They have the best prices I have seen anywhere, best customer service, cheapest but yet highest quality work. All Indy Rail locomotives are done by SPR.
