spray paint for foamboard

Got the foamboard down on the benchwork, now need to paint prior to laying track. My question, is there a spray paint on the market that is compatable with the pink and blue foam boards or should I stick to bristle and air brushes?

You can get water based acrylic spray paint that should do the job.

I’ve only used brushed on water based paint, as I didn’t want the overspray all over the place.

I use the cheap brush on paint. I agree with Bob, just the spray would go all over the place. The cheap paint/craft paint is about .50 cents for a small bottle, and I believe Wal-Marts (apple barrel) bottle is $1.95. Its a bigger bottle.

I bought a gallon of mis-mixed paint from Ace Hardware for like $5. Go in, and see what they have. I got lucky, it was a light tan.

I brushed on Valspar paint from Lowes. Its laytex and cleans easily with water. They have a sample shelf and open returns you can select from. Half gallon was a dollar, but you have to get lucky on the color. I painted mine a dark tan. Its a good base coat and you can’t beat the price. When you brush it on though, be prepared, the foam soaks up quite a bit. Still a 1/2 gallon covered my layout 11x9 feet 40" wide.

I am most positive not. Latex is better.
